We hope that you are enjoying a quieter rhythm this summer and that you are experiencing moments of rest, retreat and renewal! Summer is such a gift to us. As Canadians, I think we value it more than other countries. Because we know the sting of winter, we celebrate the beauty of summer and take advantage of every warm moment and sunny day!

We invite you to join us in the prayer room on Tuesday, August 11 and 18 from noon to 8 pm for our last two days for summer drop-in. Maybe your summer schedule makes more room for a visit compared with the rest of the year.

We don’t want to rush to the end of August, but we do want to let you know about some amazing opportunities to put on your calendar in the weeks to come.

Declaring the Name of Jesus in Every Nation - Global Week of Prayer

In a month, we will participate in the Global Week of Prayer. From September 6 to 13, the GOHOP community will be praying the hours online at 6 am , noon, 6 pm and midnight every day.

Along with hundreds of prayer rooms in dozens of countries around the world, we will be declaring the name of Jesus, praying that His kingdom come and His will be done here as it is in heaven!

Because we are praying online, it is easy to participate. Whether at work, at home, at school or in your car, just find a quiet corner and Zoom in on your phone or computer.

Last year, friends joined us from the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic coasts of Canada and from overseas as well!

541 Prayer Gathering

You may remember that for a season, the GOHOP prayer room was in the basement of 541 Eatery and Exchange. Although we are no longer sharing their building, we have continued to partner with 541 over the years.

We are are happy to announce a special prayer gathering at 541. At 7 pm on Monday, September 14 we will meet to pray, worship, and dream together.

We believe prayer matters. As we gather in person, we ask God to fill this space with His peace, wisdom, and love, trusting that prayer can shape the atmosphere of a place and the lives of those who enter it. Please come and be part of this important gathering.
