Dear friends of GOHOP!

September has arrived! We trust that you have had a wonderful summer with many opportunities for rest and renewal, exploring God’s beautiful creation and being reminded of His deep and relentless love for you!

On September 15, we will return to regular drop-in hours from 8 am to 8 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the GOHOP prayer room. Our weekly and monthly prayer times start that week, too!

Please read on about some special prayer opportunities including the Global Week of Prayer (Sept 6-13) and the 541 Prayer Gathering (Sept 14).

We look forward to spending time in God’s presence with you again this season!

Grace and peace!

Global Week of Prayer - September 6-13

We are excited to remind you that in five days, the Global Week of Prayer begins! We will be joining with more than 1,600 prayer communities in more than half the countries of the world to Declare the Name of Jesus!

Please join us online on Zoom at 6 am, noon, 6 pm and midnight from September 6 to 13 as we focus on a different name of Jesus each day.

Consider taking a moment a few times throughout the day to remind yourself of the presence of God and to reorient yourself in a posture of prayer. Whether you are at work, on the road or at home, feel free to join us. What a great way to start our new season this September! You will be blessed!

541 Prayer Gathering - September 14

Do you remember when the GOHOP prayer room was located in the basement of 541 Eatery & Exchange? Staff at 541 often shared that they could sense when people had been praying. There was a tangible difference in the atmosphere. You could feel it. A deeper sense of peace, of hope, and welcome. While GOHOP no longer has a physical  prayer room in the building, our partnership and prayers for 541 continue.

Join us on Monday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. at 541 Eatery & Exchange for an evening of prayer, worship, and discernment.

Together we will:

• Dream about what prayer and spiritual support at 541 could look like in the future.

• Experience some of the prayer and worship expressions that take place weekly through The Meeting Place Church.

• Pray for the staff, volunteers, guests, and mission of 541.

We believe prayer matters. As we gather in person, we ask God to fill this space with His peace, wisdom, and love, trusting that prayer can shape the atmosphere of a place and the lives of those who enter it.
