Hello Subscriber First Name, A heartfelt THANK YOU to each one who helped with the Prayer Truck this year: Truck Buddies, YWAM friends, visitors, volunteers, new friends and people who followed on social media and prayed from home! We had such a great week together praying for neighbours and witnessing the work that God is doing to bring His life and light to our city! Here are some of our favourite Prayer Truck stories this year. Names have been changed. Lola had her wallet stolen. We prayed about it at the truck and it was promptly returned to her! How often does that happen?! Monica had just been released from prison the day we met her. Before stumbling across the Prayer Truck, she had bought a Bible with the goal of getting her life back on track. When she saw our “Need Prayer” sign, she made a beeline for the Prayer Truck where several of us prayed for her. She was deeply encouraged and touched that God would introduce her to people who could talk to her about Him and strengthen her faith. Helen is a Living Rock youth who spent most days at the Prayer Truck with us. She is a talented artist and poet. She shared several beautiful poems by writing them on the wall in the truck. Her poetry inspired others to add prayers in words and in drawings. It was so great so spend a week with her. Joanne noticed the Prayer Truck when she was driving by on her way to visit her friend. She made it all the way to the Skyway bridge before turning around to come back, responding to the prompting of the Spirit. She shared concerns about her family. We were privileged to pray with her and share her burden with her. Candice felt like God told her to go the Prayer Truck at the very moment that we were praying for Nora. Candace needed a job. Nora needed someone with specific skills who could help her. Candice had the knowledge and experience Nora needed. So, right at the Prayer Truck two needs were met. Candice found a job and Nora found the help she needed. George is a Living Rock youth who stopped by the Prayer Truck most days during the week. On our last Friday, at the barbecue, he was incredibly helpful setting up, handing out food, greeting people and making us all feel welcome.
Please continue to pray for the new friends we made at the Prayer Truck. May His kingdom come and His will be done in Hamilton as it is in heaven! Grace and peace!
