Announcement from the Board

Since October 2024, Ian Stuart has faithfully served as Transitional Director, providing steady leadership and care as GOHOP has continued to grow in its calling to be a community of prayer in Hamilton. During this time, we have seen his deep commitment to the ministry, his love for our community, and his desire to see prayer flourish in the lives of individuals and churches. After prayerful consideration and discernment, the Board is excited to announce that Ian will now be moving into a more permanent role as Director of GOHOP. We are thankful for the way he has already been leading and are confident in the gifts and experience he brings to this role. Please join us in praying for Ian as he continues to lead GOHOP in its mission to cultivate prayer in our city.

CrossWalk Pilgrimage Fundraiser

We are excited to invite you to participate in CrossWalk, a new GOHOP initiative with two focuses.

It is a personal fundraising effort to support Ian’s work as Director as he transitions into a more permanent role with GOHOP. Our goal is to increase Ian’s monthly stipend by $400, bringing it to $1600.

It is a four-day prayer pilgrimage across Hamilton, walking, reflecting, and praying over our city. Four Thursday mornings in April, we will walk 2 to 3 hours: April 2, 9, 23 and 30. Through the month of April, we will cover our city with prayer!

• Day East to west, from Confederation Park to Websters Falls.

• Days 3 and 4: South to north from Water Reserve Park in Mount Hope to Pier Four Park.

TrueCity Prayer Room Review

What a joy it was to see the Church in Hamilton come together for two weeks of focused prayer again this year! The SAD NEWS is that the TrueCity Prayer Room has finished. The HAPPY NEWS is that the prayer stations will stay set up for several weeks. So, if you didn’t have a chance to experience it, you want to come again or you had hoped to bring a friend … it’s not too late! The GOHOP Prayer Room is open from 8 am to 8 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so feel free to join us.

Here are some numbers to celebrate:

• 1 prayer room

• 3 student groups who participated

• 4 hours of live worship

• 9 interactive prayer stations

• 10 groups who came to pray

• 15 days of focused prayer

• 20 churches involved (or more)

• 23 healing stories shared

• 30 prayer room hosts

• 222 hours of prayer

• COUNTLESS prayers prayed, answers received, Jesus-encounters enjoyed and blessings experienced
