Prayer for Reconciliation
Tuesday, September 30, 2025
6 - 8 pm ~ GOHOP Prayer Room ~ 1907 King Street East
You are warmly invited to join us on the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation for an evening of listening, prayer, reflection and hope. Together, we will honour stories, meditate on Scripture, and seek God’s heart for reconciliation in our community.
What to Expect
Welcome – beginning our time together in community
Reflection – a short reflection on the ministry of reconciliation
Stories – Indigenous friends from Hamilton and Six Nations will share personal experiences
Scripture – reflecting on passages in the First Nations Bible
Prayer – interceding for healing, reconciliation, and God’s kingdom to come
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. — 2 Corinthians 5:18-20
Why Come?
This is more than an event—it is an opportunity to:
Listen to voices and stories that need to be heard
Enter into Scripture with fresh eyes and open hearts
Pray for healing in our communities and our nation
Live into our calling as people of reconciliation and ambassadors for Jesus
We hope you will join us as we gather in humility, unity, and hope.
